Chartered Physiotherapist - BSc (Hons) HCPC CSP MAACP
I qualified from the University of Salford in 2005 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy. Since then I have worked in the NHS, specialising in paediatrics at AlderHey since 2009. I started at PremierPhysio in 2011, where I treat adults and children, incorporating acupuncture and Pilates where appropriate. I am also a Certified APPI Pilates Instructor and teach classes. I have a specialist interest in adolescent back pain and the orthopaedic management of children with cerebral palsy. I have experience in gait and movement analysis using 3-dimentional motion capture system (the same one used to make computer games and CGI/animated movies) and video analysis. I am actively involved in research with Liverpool John Moores University; projects include leg length discrepancy in children and muscle stretching in cerebral palsy.
As a busy mum, with most of my free time is spent playing in parks, kicking a ball around or racing down slides in soft play centres. I also try to find time to continue my own Pilates practice and get to hot yoga classes or the gym.
