Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist – BSc (Hons) MA PG Dip BABCP
I qualified as a Mental Health Social Worker in 2010, developing a passion for therapy that then lead me to train as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist in 2014. For the past few years I have worked for the NHS delivering CBT to adults with severe to mild mental health problems. I am dedicated to providing evidence-based techniques following the guidelines set out by the National Institute of Clinical Excellence and am accredited by the BABCP, regularly attending workshops and training. I am also extremely passionate about raising awareness of Mental Health Problems.
From a young age I have always been fascinated with the mind and my passion for working in mental health developed from personal experience of a family member. I find that working as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist allows me to help an individual explore the possible contributory factors in the onset of mental illness. I adopt a Holistic approach to my practice whilst working with my client and acknowledging physical, social, environmental and psychological causes that may have contributed to the onset of their difficulties.
