During the initial physiotherapy assessment your therapist will take a detailed account of your problem, followed by a physical examination in order to make a clinical diagnosis. At PremierPhysio, what sets us apart is that we take the time to find the root cause of your symptoms, discuss what you hope to gain from treatment and work closely with you to prepare a personal plan tailored to your needs. The treatment you receive from our physios is always of the highest quality and based on current best practice.
Our therapists will be with you every step of the way, whether you are training for a marathon, or unable to work with back pain. It is our passion to achieve this together through:
- Thorough assessment
- Accurate diagnosis
- Clearly defined and achievable treatment goals
- ‘Hands on’ treatment
- Personalised advice and education
- Bespoke rehabilitation plan, including written & electronic exercises
Because we know you want to be on the road to recovery as soon as possible, our initial assessment is 60 minutes so the most appropriate treatment can be discussed and given at your first appointment. Treatment techniques will depend on your condition and can include: acupuncture, soft tissue massage, myofascial and trigger point release, joint mobilisations, taping and electrotherapy. You will be advised on the estimated recovery time and what you can do to assist a speedy return to full fitness.
We have a paediatric specialist, Hayley who works at AlderHey and is with us on a Saturday. She has an interest in adolescent back pain and experience in gait and movement analysis. Hayley receives referrals directly from paediatric orthopaedic consultants and would be happy to speak with you about your child before booking an appointment.
