Lower back pain

Exercise is good for you, although it doesn't always feel that way when you hurt yourself. Whether due to enthusiastically hitting the gym in January, an absolute lack of warm up or as in Rob's case, poor training technique.

In addition to explaining what you have strained, our physiotherapists will discuss your exercise plan and observe your training technique to help prevent another injury in the future. Treatment techniques we use for lower back pain include soft tissue release and massage, joint mobilisations, taping and acupuncture. You may be given specific stretches or core strengthening exercises, which you can incorporate into your gym programme.

After just three sessions, Rob is pain free and back to his much-loved workout.
"I had extreme back pain from a sports injury – training wrong. Problem now been fixed and shown an excellent pilates movement, very simple but it explained why the problem occurred in the first place. I am now back to training. If I'd relied on NHS I would still be severely limited."
