• Nail Surgery – A minor surgical procedure to permanently treat painful or recurring ingrown toenails. Performed under local anaesthetic, nail surgery offers a safe and highly successful long-term solution. NHS waiting lists are long, but we can fit you in within a week and in most cases, you can retain the majority of your nail and only remove the thin in growing edge.
• Podofix® Nail Bracing (Ingrown Nail Correction) A gentle, non-surgical alternative to nail surgery for painful, curved, or ingrown toenails. Like dental braces, a small, flexible pad is bonded to the surface of the nail and tensioned using an integrated wire loop. This lifts the edges of the nail out of the painful nail fold, providing almost immediate relief from pressure. The brace stays comfortably in place for several weeks, gradually retraining your nail to grow flatter
• Nail fenestration is a treatment for fungal nail infections that involves drilling tiny holes into the nail plate to allow antifungal medication to penetrate to the nail bed, where the infection resides. This method is performed by our podiatrist Donna and is considered effective for mild to moderate infections.
• Verruca Needling (Falknor’s Method) An advanced, minor clinical procedure for stubborn or long-standing verrucae. Performed painlessly under a local anaesthetic, this technique involves repeatedly puncturing the verruca with a sterile needle. This pushes the virus into the deeper skin layers, triggering your body’s natural immune response to recognize and destroy the infection from within. Unlike acids or freezing, it often requires just a single session and can clear multiple verrucae simultaneously.
